NRG Media LLC announced that Tony Waitekus has been named as operations manager for its radio stations in the Wausau-Stevens Point market.
In Wausau-Stevens Point, NRG Media owns four music FM stations: 107-9 WBCV Big Cheese, 103-3 WGLX Classic Rock, Hot 96-7 WHTQ (Top 40), and Y106-5 Today’s Best Country (WYTE). NRG Media was founded in 2005 and operates 40 radio stations in four Midwestern states: Iowa, Wisconsin, Nebraska and Illinois.
The Association of Accredited Small Business Consultants announced that Beth Kost of Wisconsin Women’s Business Initiative Corp. (WWBIC) has fulfilled the requirements and passed the qualifying examination to become an Accredited Small Business Consultant.
By receiving the designation, Kost has demonstrated the necessary knowledge in small business consulting to assist clients in improving operational performance and achieving higher profits. This accreditation also certifies that Kost is prepared to accept small business consulting engagements as part of her role as a rural small business consultant with WWBIC.
The Association of Accredited Small Business Consultants, with headquarters in Austin, Texas, and offices in Washington, D.C., provides certification to individuals demonstrating a proficiency in small business consulting. The AASBC is an international association that recognizes the growing need and lack of individuals qualified to consult in the area of small business.
Kost works out of Rhinelander and services all of north central and northeastern Wisconsin. WWBIC is a member of the Wausau Region Chamber of Commerce and works closely with the Chamber, MC DEVCO, University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point, Wausau area banks, and other economic development organizations.
WWBIC provides business and financial education coupled with access to fair capital and financial products.
Matthew Graun and Travis Puig, Autodesk certified professionals of Becher-Hoppe Associates Inc., attended Autodesk University in Las Vegas. Graun and Puig were among 10,000 designers and engineers exploring the future of 3D design and fabrication. The event featured industry leaders introducing state of the art tools and programs to aid in delivering innovative design and engineering.

Dr. Shelly Mondeik, vice president for Learning at Northcentral Technical College, was selected to take part in the University of Wisconsin-Stout Career and Technical Education Executive in Residence Program.
Mondeik started her career at NTC in 2002 and served as full-time faculty, program director, clinical coordinator and Academic Dean of Public Safety prior to role as vice president for learning. She has a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Career and Technical Education (CTE) from UW-Stout as well as an associate’s degree from NTC. She recently graduated with her Doctoral Degree in Educational Leadership from Edgewood College in Madison.
Developed to inspire and motivate today’s CTE students and faculty, the Executive in Residence Program showcases the career successes of UW-Stout graduates. Mondeik was chosen as one of five emerging leaders based on her demonstrated leadership, exemplary moral code, novel problem-solving techniques, proven record of exemplary team building and/or strategic planning and demonstrated passion for serving as a role model.
The 2015 CTE Executive in Residence Program will be Feb. 24 and 25 at UW-Stout.
Toni Simonson, senior executive Human Services Operations at North Central Health Care, Wausau, was elected to the board of directors of the Wisconsin Chapter of the American College of Healthcare Executives. The primary purpose of the Chapter is to meet the professional needs of its members, promote excellence in healthcare leadership by providing education and training, aiding in career advancement and embracing communication and networking relationships among colleagues in Wisconsin. Simonson will serve a three-year term on the Board of Directors.
