PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Montgomery County wants to become more business friendly so they are now offering “one stop shopping” to business owners looking to expand or locate in the county.
In an effort to streamline the way it does business, Montgomery County wanted to bring all the services it offers to businesses under one roof.
So now, it’s one stop shopping, one door for those businesses to go through to get the help they need to expand, find workers or even get loans.
Commissioner Josh Shapiro says in the past businesses had to maneuver through a maze of alphabet-soup like agencies.
“There wasn’t one uniform website. There wasn’t even a centralized phone number and often times we would place the burden on the business to figure out what it was that they needed.”
He says the Department of Commerce is now open for business and ready for people who want to do business in Montgomery County.
